Senior Christ Church High School (Senior CCHS), Ijebu-Ode is a Christian-founded co-educational institution established in 1981 by Christ Church Porogun. With over four decades of unwavering commitment to academic excellence, moral discipline, and holistic development, we continue to shape future-ready students prepared for leadership, service, and global impact.

Rooted in Christian values and community heritage, our school has remained a citadel of learning for over four decades, producing responsible, God-fearing, and future-ready individuals.
We are proudly built on the vision of Christ Church Porogun, which founded the school on September 25, 1981, with the goal of providing quality education in a spiritually grounded environment. Since then, we have evolved into a senior secondary school offering comprehensive educational programs for students in Senior Secondary School 1 to 3 (SS1–SS3).
The school began its journey with 87 pioneering students and under the capable leadership of Mrs. E.O. Koya, the founding principal. Through her selfless service and strong administrative ability, the school witnessed rapid growth and recognition.
We owe a special debt of gratitude to Rev. Canon Oba Ogunfuye, then Principal of Adeola Odutola College, who graciously hosted the school’s early students at the HSC block before the permanent site—generously donated by Christ Church Porogun—was developed.
Our administrative framework was solidified in 1983 with the formation of the first Board of Governors, chaired by the late Otunba Mrs. C.M. Degun, alongside other notable community leaders who played vital roles in shaping the school’s direction.
In 2005, following the education policy of school disarticulation, the institution was formally separated into Junior and Senior Schools, each with its own administrative leadership. Senior CCHS continues to build on the legacy of the original institution.
